The year 2024 will go down in gardening history as simply challenging. Constantly assessing
and reassessing direction and process was exhausting. To irrigate or not, to install or not, to
prepare for hurricanes or not, the list goes on and on…
At SWFL Nursery, we have concluded based on first hand experience and professional
recommendations that working with primarily native plants fares best in our challenging
environment.
There are a number of plants made available for your yard and gardens to ensure
the best possible outcome in adverse weather conditions.
The following list may be useful in deciding what direction you choose for your outdoor space:
to name a few!
Please also keep in mind that adverse weather conditions stress most plants. They need time
to recover.
Please avoid cutting back or replacing unsightly plants and trees. There is a great
chance you will see a full recovery!
On the other hand, sometimes we just have to give Mother Nature the win. Please view before
